¶ Maps
¶ Overview
This section of the networking module displays a physical location Map with all devices, services, customers, leads, network sites, and coverage maps in KMZ/KML formats. All located objects need to have the configured GPS coordinates in Splynx.
NOTE:
If you need to add a router or a hardware, it is possible to do it in the Map tab:
¶ Filter
On the right sidebar of the map, is provided a convenient filter for you to display objects by a particular criteria. You can filter objects to be displayed on the map by a variety of parameters/types:
You can view network sites, access devices, and services linked to them on the map.
¶ Network site and Access device filters
The Show field at the top of the sidebar controls which object types are placed on the map. Two of those types unlock an extra multi-select filter so you can narrow the map to specific items:
- When Network site is selected in Show, a Network site multi-select appears. Use it to limit the map to one or more chosen sites.
- When Access device is selected in Show, an Access device multi-select appears. Use it to limit the map to one or more chosen access devices.
Each field appears only while its type is selected in Show, and both can be shown at the same time. Start typing in a field to search the list, then pick the items you need.
Once you've selected the objects you would like to see, click on Apply button and you will see the result of the criteria on the map.
By selecting the connection type and your KMZ/KML maps, you can view filtered coverage maps:
